Mike Grier founded SCA in 1995 to provide small and mid-sized organizations throughout metro-Atlanta with the reliability and responsiveness of Fortune 500 level technology services on an as-needed basis.

As SCA entered the Atlanta IT support market in 1995, businesses had two primary means of obtaining technical support for their business. The first option was to hire and maintain in-house IT departments, and the second was to outsource to contractors and IT companies, which were in many cases not equipped to respond and provide the level of service required by businesses. Since Fortune 500 companies have a large number of employees and a large IT budget, they benefit from the reliability and responsiveness of salaried professionals who are exclusively dedicated to the demands of their business. Companies with smaller IT budgets, however, had to subcontract their support. This outsourced help was focused on volume, and the contractors had only a vague understanding of the unique needs of each client.

SCA was founded in response to the dilemma that smaller businesses do not have a Fortune 500 IT budget, but still have needs that vary as much as their products or services. SCA seeks to build a strategic partnership with each client and exists to provide relevant, cost effective IT consulting and technical support on an as-needed basis. SCA accomplishes this level of flexibility and accuracy by taking a planned, detailed and proactive approach to IT consulting. Our approach begins with a technology plan formed by detailed auditing and documentation, and then extends to the implementation phase and ongoing IT support, which is customized to our clients’ budgets and technology goals.
